Snapshots From the (Last) Weekend

It’s hard to put into words how surreal things have been around here lately. I know it’s been a minute since I last posted, and I deeply apologize for my absence this past week. To say it’s been challenging is putting it mildly. My bathroom counter and even the changing table have transformed into makeshift apothecaries, stocked with balms, oils, and various remedies. For over a week now, I’ve spent most of my time whispering silent prayers through tears, every nursing session feeling like sharp blades piercing through me. But slowly, ever so slowly, there’s a glimmer of hope peeking through this long, dark tunnel. Thrush has been nothing short of a relentless battle, and I’d never wish this kind of pain on anyone—especially not during those precious early weeks at home. Despite the constant discomfort, we’re trying to soak up as much family time as possible, cherishing every fleeting moment. As I take a brief breather before bracing myself for yet another round of nursing—and another doctor’s visit—I thought I’d share some glimpses from last weekend. It was one of those rare moments when life felt almost normal, or at least as close to normal as it can get these days. ![Weekend Snapshots](src) Morning cuddles. There’s something magical about starting the day wrapped in warmth and love, isn’t there? ![Weekend Snapshots](src) The first shower after everything happened—it felt like such a small victory, but it was monumental. A little piece of normalcy reclaimed. ![Weekend Snapshots](src) ![Weekend Snapshots](src) ![Weekend Snapshots](src) Those little shoes Skylar wore nonstop for what felt like forever—they were a gift from Nana, and they became an unexpected symbol of his growing independence. ![Weekend Snapshots](src) ![Weekend Snapshots](src) ![Weekend Snapshots](src) ![Weekend Snapshots](src) ![Weekend Snapshots](src) Aliyah spent a week up in Michigan with Papa and attended a performing arts camp. We miss her dearly. Her absence left a void, but it also reminded us how much she’s grown and how proud we are of her. ![Weekend Snapshots](src) Thank you, beautiful family, for filling our lives with joy, even amidst the chaos. These moments remind me that despite the challenges, the highlights always shine brighter than the struggles. I hope this weekend brings you peace, laughter, and connection. Take care, friends! ![Signature](src) P.S. If you're interested in some of the products we've been using to help manage the tough times, feel free to check out the links below.
