Thailand and Japan have new ideas for fuel

It is said that this is the first time that the world produces 100% pure sunflower oil for ordinary vehicles. In Thailand's northeastern province of Loei, sunflower cultivation has begun, and it is expected that it will be officially planted in September.
With the high international crude oil prices, energy shortages have occurred in various countries, and Thailand is even more difficult to avoid. In order to save energy, the Thai government has taken measures to develop various alternative energy sources to ease the shortage of fuel. Recently, two Thai food companies cooperated with PowwowPool, an environmental protection project in Osaka Prefecture, Japan, to produce locally used Diesel diesel engine fuel made from 100% sunflower oil in Thailand. It is said that this is the first time that the world produces 100% pure sunflower oil for ordinary vehicles. In Thailand's northeastern province of Loei, sunflower cultivation has begun, and it is expected that it will be officially planted in September.
Since the fuel consumption of a car using this fuel is the same as that of diesel fuel, the detection of the safety of the engine has also been completed. Thailand and Japan began to use this technology to start production of new fuel with a purity of 100%, and plans to sell it both at home and abroad. The sunflower used for this new fuel was planted in Eastern Europe and other places. This is the first time that the sunflower has been mass produced in Asia.
Thailand has a warm climate, sunflowers grow easily, and the number of cars using Diesel engines in Thailand is staggering. In the future, it plans to promote it as a fuel for aircraft and other means of transport.
Professor Matsumura excitedly said: "Not only Thailand but also the surrounding countries have many agricultural lands that need to be cleared. I want to transform the Mekong area into a sunflower field."
At the same time, biodiesel fuel mixed with 2% edible oil in diesel oil also appeared for the first time at the gas station in Chiang Mai, northern Thailand. The sales of this kind of fuel are good, and they begin to be sold in other cities. In Chiang Mai, this fuel has been provided to bus buses without any damage to the engine.
At present, Thailand's state-run oil company PTT, the Thai Association of Automotive Technicians, and the Thai Navy have reached an agreement on the joint development of biodiesel fuels, and plans to develop new fuels that use vegetable oils or animal oils as raw materials, which will be universally available within six years.
In addition, gasohol (gasoline alcohol) fuel blended with gasoline in gasoline has also been recognized by the Thai government as a fuel to replace gasoline. Ethanol can be extracted from plants, but existing manufacturing companies produce only 25,000 liters per day. At the request of the Thai government, major sugar companies and wine companies have started to plan production. By 2006, production is expected to expand to 1.3 million litres per day.
