Although it is a terrestrial plant, some research suggests that its ancestors may have had aquatic traits, which opens up possibilities for hydroponic cultivation. Additionally, the system must be clean and free from contamination to ensure healthy growth.
Morphological Features:
Ji Fengli is an evergreen perennial with a thick rhizome underground and very little above-ground stem. Its leaves are densely clustered in rosettes, hard with wavy edges and soft spines. The leaves are leathery, with a green-brown surface and white on the underside. Flowers are white, bisexual, and appear in a rosette-like inflorescence.
