Safety use of grass processing machinery

1. Silage Cutting Machine

(1) Usage: The silage cutting machine allows users to select appropriate materials based on the desired length, adjusting the gap between the moving knife and the fixed knife accordingly. During operation, the moving knife passes through the clearance of the fixed knife, enabling fast cutting and ensuring high productivity. When cutting thick materials like silage corn, the gap should be set between 1 to 2 cm. For finer straw such as cereal straw, the gap should be adjusted to 0.2 to 0.6 cm. Before starting, the machine should be allowed to idle for a few minutes to ensure smooth operation and check the correct rotation direction. Once everything is functioning properly, the machine can be used normally.

(2) Precautions: Ensure the work area is spacious and well-lit. The power source should be within close proximity to the machine. Operators must not touch any moving parts or remove safety covers during operation. Always check that the clutch and joystick are correctly engaged and returned. In case of blockage or foreign objects, immediately push the joystick out to clear the material and turn off the power before troubleshooting. It's important to constantly inspect the incoming material and remove hard objects like stones, metal pieces, or bricks to prevent damage to the machine.

2. Forage and Straw Kneading Machine

The forage and straw kneading machine is designed to process corn stalks, bean stalks, and other types of straw into soft, crumbly feed. The resulting product is typically silky, uniform, and easy for cattle and sheep to consume. This machine is suitable for most types of forage grasses.

(1) How to Use: Before starting, let the machine run idle for 2 to 3 minutes to check for any foreign objects or unusual noises. If everything is normal, it can be put into regular operation. Operators should stand on both sides of the feeding inlet and never insert their arms into the machine. The material should be fed evenly to avoid jams or clogs. Avoid using sticks or metal rods to push the material in, as this may cause damage to the internal components.

(2) Precautions: If the machine malfunctions, immediately cut off the power supply and identify the issue before restarting. If the feeding mechanism becomes uneven, the machine may rotate the tooth chuck. After reversing the belt, manually clear any jammed material. Never reconnect the power until the machine is completely clean. A protective cover should be installed between the gears and belts to ensure operator safety. Before each shift, always inspect the power cable for any signs of wear or damage to prevent accidents.

After approximately 30 hours of use, apply grease to all drive bearings. After 300 hours of operation, remove and clean the bearings, then add fresh lubricant. Check and tighten all screws and nuts in the drive system. Inspect the condition of the belt regularly; if heavy wear is detected, replace it promptly to avoid breakage and potential injury.
