Introduction of technical methods for feeding cows

When feeding cows, it's common to offer them green and juicy feeds such as grass, Beet, and carrots. These feeds are highly palatable and easy for cows to digest and absorb. It's essential to ensure that these feeds are fresh, clean, and free from any contamination before offering them to the animals. Ammoniated Corn stalks can greatly improve the flavor and nutritional value of the feed while increasing its digestibility. To prepare this, chop the corn stover and spray it with a 5% urea solution (60 kg of urea water per 100 kg of straw). Seal the mixture with plastic film—7–10 days in summer and 15–25 days in winter. After sealing, let it dry for 5–7 days before feeding to the cows. In dairy cow diets, adding 3–5% animal fat along with proper calcium supplements can enhance feed palatability and boost milk production and quality. Additionally, including 2–2.5% urea in the concentrate (or 15–20 grams per 100 kg of body weight) can significantly increase milk yield. Adding 200–300 grams of sodium acetate to the diet helps improve nutrient digestion and absorption. Feeding cows warm porridge is also beneficial, especially during winter. It not only makes the feed easier to digest but also helps keep the cows warm in cold weather. During the winter, when nights are long and temperatures drop, giving cows about 1 kg of warm corn or bran porridge around 11 PM can improve their nutrition, strengthen their cold resistance, and increase milk production. Lastly, always provide clean and sufficient water for cows. In cold weather, when temperatures fall below 15°C, it's best to offer warm water or warm bran soup to maintain their health and comfort.
