Early period: During this phase, the egg production rate typically ranges from 50% to 90%. To support this, each duck should be given an additional 10 grams of fishmeal per day. Once the production rate exceeds 90%, increase the fishmeal to 18–20 grams daily. The feeding frequency should be increased to four times a day, and the lighting should be maintained at around 14 hours per day to stimulate egg-laying.
Mid-term: At this stage, it's important to provide a higher protein intake. Offer 150 grams of feed with 20% protein content daily. You can also supplement with 50 grams of water grass or add a Vitamin complex to ensure balanced nutrition. Additionally, include 1–2% shell powder in the diet to support strong eggshells. Light exposure should be extended to 16 hours per day to maintain high productivity and promote consistent laying patterns.
This approach ensures that ducks receive proper nutrition and environmental conditions throughout their laying cycle, helping to maximize both egg quality and quantity. Regular monitoring of the flock’s health and egg output is recommended to make timely adjustments as needed.
