4. Microorganisms need enough water to grow, but too much water can cause poor ventilation and affect the activity of aerobic microorganisms. Therefore, we must pay attention to timely irrigation and drainage in order to maintain the right amount of moisture in the soil.

5. Microorganisms in biological fertilizers are mostly aerobic, such as rhizobia, autogenous nitrogen-fixing bacteria, and phosphorus bacteria. Therefore, the application of bacterial fertilizer must be combined with improved soil and reasonable farming to keep the soil loose and have good ventilation.

6. Microbiological activities require energy consumption. Organic matter is the main source of energy for microorganisms, and organic matter decomposition can also supply microbial nutrients. Therefore, the application of biological fertilizers must be combined with the application of organic fertilizers.

7. Microbial growth requires multiple nutrients. Therefore, sufficient NPK and trace elements must be supplied. For example, in the early stage of the growth of legumes, an appropriate amount of nitrogen must be supplied to promote crop growth and root nodule development, and to increase nitrogen fixation. Phosphate fertilizers can play a role in increasing nitrogen by phosphorus; moderate amounts of potassium and calcium nutrition are beneficial to the proliferation of microorganisms. Molybdenum is an indispensable element in the synthesis of nitrogenase by Rhizobium, and the combination of molybdenum fertilizer and rhizobia can significantly increase nitrogen fixation efficiency.
