Goose breeders have to combine the length of forage grass crops with short-term results, that is, protein-rich, tender and juicy leafy vegetables and barnyardgrass are combined, mainly leafy vegetables. Specifically speaking, grain pods, bitter leeks, chicory (Rumex) are mainly used to plant other pastures such as glutinous rice, oysters, and ryegrass. The main planting and breeding modes are as follows:
I. Planting bitter leeks and glutinous grains mainly with grain pods
Although all of the three forage grasses mentioned above are annual, they have good production performance, high nutritional value, and play different roles in geese. They are the best combination of geese. They are all suitable for planting all over the country. They can be broadcast in spring, summer and autumn and are available throughout the year. Grain pods are resistant to drought, barren, strong stress resistance, rapid growth, rapid regeneration, high yield and quality, good palatability, nutrient-rich, especially high protein and lysine content. Bitter buckwheat is softer than grain pods, the whole plant contains white milk, excellent palatability, can promote the appetite of livestock and poultry, and have anti-inflammatory, fire, pain, disease prevention and communicable effects. The sorghum stems and leaves have high sugar content and moderate fiber content, and collocation can further enhance palatability. 1 mu of grain, 0.8 mu of bitter leeks, 0.7 mu of glutinous rice, with a fresh ratio of 2:1:1, can be 250-300 goose for green.
Second, bitter leeks and glutinous rice (or Yugu) with planting
This combination was used in Heilongjiang Province in particular, especially in agriculture, animal husbandry, and forest farms. Because the local soil is fertile, the amount of rainfall is moderate, and the population is small. The bitter leeks, although lower in yield than grain pods, are more palatable. They plant 1 mu of bitter leeks. , 0.6 mu glutinous rice (or Royal Valley), feeding fresh ratio 2:1-1.5, for 120-150 goose for green.
3. Chicory (or Rumex) and Gully (or Yugu) for planting
Chicory and Rumex are perennial forages, and they all have high yield and high quality. In particular, the palatability of chicory is second only to bitter leeks, and there is a promising future for the south pole of Liaoning. However, there is a problem of overwintering in the northern high-cold areas and it is not suitable for cultivation in Heilongjiang and Jilin provinces. Rumex is cold and strong, but in the south there is a problem of over-summer, and it is generally palatable and not suitable for planting in the South. 1 mu of chicory (or Rumex) and 1 mu of glutinous rice (or Yugu) are fed at a fresh-to-fresh ratio of 2:1 and can provide about 200 gooses for green.
Russian fodder and Dongmu 70 are resistant to cold, late yellowing, and returning to early morning. They can be used for feeding in the early winter and can also be mixed with silage to feed geese. They can also be used with planted purpura, hybrid pennisetum, and ryegrass. Feeding carrots, etc., to replace some of the other grass species, should be tested by trial feeding trials, and then demonstration and promotion.
When different ages of geese are fed, the demand for green feed is different. The proportion of green feed in compound feed gradually increases, generally from 40% to 80%, and during the intensive period of 3-4 weeks, it gradually decreases to 50%-40% again. 20% of the cake powder in the compound feed can not be less, otherwise it is unfavorable to the growth of the goose.
