Cultivation of Flammulina velutipes with poplar by-products

The poplar by-products (bark, branches, sawdust) are rich in carbohydrates and have higher nitrogen content than cottonseed husks. It is used to cultivate Flammulina velutipes with short cycle, convenient management and high yield. After drying the poplar bark and poplar twigs, they are crushed into wood chips using a branching chipper and a wood chip crusher, and then the formulation is selected according to local conditions. Formulation 1: Poplar dander and cottonseed hull are used as the main materials, plus 20% of the main ingredient, bran and a small amount of additives; Formulation 2: The main material is poplar dandruff, plus the main ingredient. 25 % of bran and 3% of compound additives. After the formulation is selected, the conventional cultivation method of plastic clinker is adopted. The weight of each bag is 250 g, and the mixture is incubated with spices, bagged, sterilized and inoculated. After testing, the yield of mushroom produced with Formulation 1 was high, but the quality of the mushroom was slightly inferior, and the growth rate of mycelium was slightly slower; the yield of mushroom produced with formula II was slightly lower, but the mushroom quality was good and the mycelium grew quickly.
