The lack of grain and alopecia are characterized by multiple forms. Some spikes have no grain on one side from the base to the top, and most of the spikes are bent on the side of lack of grains. Some whole grains have few seeds and are scattered on the ears. Some seeds have tiny white or yellowish-white seeds, called bald tips.
There are two main causes of birthlessness and baldness. One is poor pollination or late spinning, and sparse field pollen. Such as loose powder when rain and rain, affecting the normal flowering pollination; or flowering in case of high temperature and dry weather, insufficient soil moisture, pollen, filament life is shortened; or during the pollination period, no wind pollination bad. Second, the density is not suitable or lack of nutrition. The lack of water will affect the production and operation of organic matter, and it can also cause corn tipping.
Prevention:
1. Do a good job of fertilizer and water management to ensure that corn has sufficient water and nutrients. Especially during the flowering filling period, water shortage and defertilization should not occur.
2. The planting density should be adapted so that when photosynthesis is too low, the photosynthesis will be low, organic matter will be less, and normal pollination will be affected. Therefore, the general density of summer corn 4000-5000 strains is appropriate, high fertility is less dense, when the fertility is low density.
3. In terms of management, the weak seedlings should be treated with a bias, so that the development of the ears is neat, the spinning is consistent, and artificial pollination should be performed for some late developmental spikes or bad weather. When planting, select good varieties.
