How to fertilize carrots?

Carrot is rich in nutrients, contains more carotene, sugar and calcium, phosphorus, iron and other mineral elements. It is known as a small ginseng. However, in the cultivation process, due to improper fertilization, it often causes cracking, hollowness, malformation, aging, and woodiness. The following points will be introduced to everyone at the time of cultivation.

1. Application of organic fertilizer to improve quality: The supply of carrot nutrients in the early stage is mainly based on basal, base fertilizer should be based on pigs, chickens, cattle, horse dung and human urine, 2000-2500 kg per mu. The applied organic fertilizer must be fully decomposed, otherwise it will easily lead to deformed roots, affecting its yield and quality.

2. Nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium are used in combination: nitrogen can promote the growth of leaves and leaves, and synthesize more nutrients. Phosphorus is good for nutrient operation and improves quality. It has a great influence on the initial growth and development of carrots, but has little effect on the subsequent root enlargement of carrots. Therefore, it is generally applied in basal fertilizers; potassium can promote the meristem activity of the root formation layer, and the effect of increasing production is obvious. Therefore, three factors can be used in conjunction to achieve high yields. For every 1,000 kilograms of carrots produced, 2.4 to 4.3 kilograms of nitrogen, 0.7 to 1.7 kilograms of phosphorus, and 5.7 to 11.7 kilograms of potassium need to be absorbed. The ratio is l:0.4:2.6. . The 1/2 of the required nitrogen fertilizer is applied as the basal fertilizer, and the remaining 1/2 can be used as a top-dressing fertilizer when the leaves have a growing period and the root diameter of the meat is 0.6 cm; all the required phosphorus fertilizer can be used as a basal fertilizer; A portion of potash is required for basal fertilizer, and the rest is used for topdressing when fleshy roots are swollen.

3. Fertilizer application: carrots absorb more calcium, calcium content will make carrots and carotene content decreased, calcium deficiency can easily lead to hollow disease; carrots have little absorption of magnesium, magnesium content, the more The more sugar content and carotene content, the better the quality. The application of calcium, magnesium and phosphate fertilizers to the basal fertilizer can be performed in the seedling stage and the leaf growth stage, respectively, and spraying 0.1% to 0.25% boric acid solution or borax solution twice at the root swelling stage.
