Laboratory solvent filter use precautions

Note for laboratory solvent filters :

1. The laboratory solvent filter must be checked for completeness and damage before use. Then install it as required.

2. The new filter must be cleaned with detergent (please do not use acid cleaning). After cleaning, use high-temperature steam to sterilize, disinfect and wash the filter.

3. When using, the upper and lower flanges should be placed in a stable position, and the spring clips can be clamped, otherwise it will be vulnerable or leaking.

4. When clamping the spring clip, clamp the protruding part in front of the spring clip in the middle of the flange, otherwise it will leak easily.

5. Do not overfill the filter medium of the filter bowl. When there is no liquid in the filter bowl, close the vacuum pump in time to prolong the service life of the filter.

6. During operation, do not let the filter tilt or fluctuate to prevent the filter medium from being drawn into the pump by the rubber tube and damaging the vacuum pump.

7. If the filtration rate of the same filter medium is slow, check whether the filter accumulates too much impurities, and the filter membrane needs to be replaced in time.

8. During the operation, the filter medium should be prevented from being drawn into the pump. It is best to use a vacuum pump protector.

9. Select the pore size of the filter as needed:

In addition to particles, the nominal pore size is 0.65, 0.8, 1.2μ

General clarification filtration using nominal pore sizes of 0.65, 0.8, and 1.2μ

Complete filtration of bacteria using a nominal pore size of 0.22

10. When there are many particles and bacteria in the filtrate, it should be pre-filtered, otherwise the filtration purpose will not be achieved, and the filter membrane will be blocked too quickly.

11. When filtering liquid, the filter must be in a wet state, otherwise it will affect the filtration speed.

12. When handling the filter, avoid touching the filter with your hands to avoid inaccurate analysis data.

13. The microporous membrane is stored in the dark at room temperature and relative humidity of 70%. The membrane that has lost water and curl due to drying can be used only after soaking.
