A few days ago, the Ministry of Agriculture announced the publication of the 7th batch of product registration products for geographical indications of agricultural products. Dongxiang's unique local breed of chickens, Dongxiang Black Feather Shells, is the first agricultural product that has been registered and protected by the National Agricultural Product Geographical Indication.
Dongxiang black feather green shell layer is the first batch of provincial breeds of livestock and poultry genetic resources in Jiangxi Province. It is a valuable breed resource gene group. Genetic diversity of 27 local chicken breeds in East China was studied by experts using microsatellite markers. Genetic genetic distances and genetic distances were used to assess genetic variation among breeds and their genetic relationships. The results indicated that the Dongxiang black feathered green shell layer chickens were the third category of chickens that had become a group.
