The relationship between diet and migraine

Recent studies have found that certain foods can cause the onset of migraine, while other foods can treat and prevent migraine headaches.

Foods that may cause headaches include:
1. Alcoholic beverages.
2. Caffeinated beverages such as tea and coffee.
3. Fermented foods such as bread.
4. Cheese or other dairy products.
5. Overripe bananas.
6. Smoked meat, such as sausages and ham.
7. chocolate.

Milk, dairy products, alcohol, and chocolate are the first foods that can be found to cause migraines. The tyrosine content in chocolate and wine is high, and this amino acid is converted into epinephrine when it enters the body. Elevated adrenaline can cause headaches. Young people are both a good group for migraine headaches and the largest consumer group for milk, dairy products, alcohol, and chocolate. This may be an important reason why young people are prone to migraines.

Another study by foreign scholars on the diet of headache patients was even more unexpected. They found that people often eat flour, oranges, eggs, beef, etc. may cause some people to have a special allergic reaction and headache, avoid eating these foods will relieve headaches.

Food can cause headaches as well as headaches. The study found that the majority of migraine patients have low magnesium levels in their brain tissue. Magnesium is an important ionic component in the human body's intracellular fluid and has some special functions, such as inhibiting nerve excitability and regulating vascular tone. During the attack and remission phases of migraine, there was a significant difference in the magnesium content in the brains of these patients. Therefore, in prevention of migraine in addition to attention to work and rest, adequate sleep, avoid anxiety and tension, but also should eat more magnesium-rich vegetables, fruits, increase the magnesium content in the brain. Foods containing more magnesium include: millet, soba and other cereals, soybeans, beans, peas and other beans and soy products and snow red, winter vegetables, mushrooms, seaweed, peach, longan, walnuts, peanuts and so on.
