Agricultural robots attention to field operations

When agricultural machinery such as tractor units and combine harvesters perform field operations, turning and reversing operations are very frequent. It not only affects the operating efficiency of the unit, but also increases the wear and tear of the steering system, the traveling system and other operating system components. Note the following:

1. According to the shape, size and variety of crops, choose a reasonable walking route (such as nesting method), so as to reduce the reverse, that is, reduce the empty travel, in order to improve the efficiency of work.

2. Before turning and reversing the unit, the farm tools must be upgraded and the working parts of the farm tools should be stopped. If the farm implements turning or reversing while entering the soil, it will increase the turning radius, increase the load on the engine, and easily damage the agricultural implements.

3. It is forbidden to “turn the corner”. Because the turning angle is too small, it is easy to cause the pile phenomenon of the soil, causing uneven surface, thus reducing the quality of work.

4. For narrow rectangular plots, it is best not to turn and turn the head, but use the reverse method to complete the arable land, land preparation or harvesting operations, otherwise the operation efficiency of the unit will be reduced due to the excessive number of turning heads.

5. When the wheeled tractor unit spans a relatively hard and high field, since the tractor's rear tire is larger than the front wheel diameter, the farm implement should be upgraded and reversed.

6. Crawler tractors should not habitually always turn in the same direction when working in the field. Always change the direction of the turn as long as conditions permit, thus avoiding severe unilateral wear on the steering clutch. (Huai Meng)
